Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer Lead to work in the Columbus, OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Job Summary
The Solution Engineer Lead will support OSI-Monarch's Power System Applications, including Automatic Generation Control (AGC). The role involves troubleshooting the operational SCADA environment, ensuring optimized monitoring, and system reliability reporting. Responsibilities also include maintaining Monarch custom DB configurations and providing on-call support as needed. As part of a larger team, you will deliver high-quality technology solutions, designing, developing, and installing software solutions. This includes building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development, and design standards and best practices. You will design, modify, develop, write, implement, and troubleshoot software programming applications, participating in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software. The role works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework based team and collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst, and Infrastructure teams.
Essential Functions & Tasks
Working independently, you will be responsible for one or more of the following for the largest and most complex projects:
Develop advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues logically, creatively, and structured.
Align client goals, needs, and objectives with the solutions provided.
Communicate issues and status clearly and timely.
Interpret specifications and build advanced solutions accordingly.
Collaborate on business strategy by acting as an expert on company services and products, including usage, architecture, functionality, and deployment.
Develop custom presentations and demonstrations for all audiences.
Generate infrastructure support documentation.
Make proposals and write responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Evaluate and propose advanced process improvements.
Maintain expert knowledge about the company's software and hardware products.
Provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
Experience: 10 years of relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting OSI Monarch SCADA systems.
Understanding of NERC CIP security principles.
Knowledge of WAN and VPN concepts.
Basic understanding of C programming language.
Familiarity with communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, and ICCP.
Understanding of Ladder Logic is desired
Knowledge of Remote Terminal Units (RTU).
