The Senior Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Accounting will provide accounting and strategic decision support for Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations. This role will have full responsibility for developing standard costs, analyzing manufacturing results, tracking cost savings initiatives, and providing decision support to Procurement, Logistics, Operations teams. The Sr. Manager will also be responsible for evaluating relevant accounting and internal control systems and managing departmental staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activities such as inventory, raw material purchases, labor and overhead.
Development of standard costs for business site operations.
Development and maintenance of periodic/monthly reporting for Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement functions
Monthly reporting of overall and site performance versus budget, forecast and prior year.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs by item and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs by the various cost drivers.
PPV (purchase price variance) analysis and reporting.
Margin analysis on material revenue vs material costs, including yield/scrap loss analysis.
Maintain and enhance the cost accounting functions within the various systems.
Assist in month-end close of general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.
Reconcile finished goods and raw materials inventories.
Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
Assist with external and internal audits.
General ledger account reconciliations
BOM maintenance, including item master and product costing creation and updates.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Required Education: Bachelor' s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5-7 years of Finance experience in chemical manufacturing environment

Work is primarily performed in an indoor office setting with extended periods at a computer.
