ITS has a client in the Norwalk, OH area seeking a Robot Programmer. This is a direct hire role with full benefits including 401k.
The Robot Programmer is part of the plant engineering team. The Robot Programmer is responsible to implement new tooling. This includes to create the programs and to implement these in the work cells The improvement and maintenance of programs is an essential task. This includes the regular review, update and improvement of programs, organized storing as well as tracking the status of changes in different cells. The Robot programmer supports production with the robot cells in case of problems according to their needs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create Robot programs for new tooling
• Set up robot cells with the tooling
• Optimize/improve current programs
• Implement engineering changes
• Backup of robot programs
• Support Production according to their needs
• Trouble shot robot cells
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and implementation of general safe work practices
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Models effective attendance
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Ability to change and embrace change
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple projects and customers
• Good organizing and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a work group or team
• Able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including variable shifts and work days
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Possess good verbal and written communication
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
Credentials and Experience:
• Engineering degree or equivalent education with experience or experience in the field
• Experience in an manufacturing environment (Preferred at least 3 years)
• Experience with robot programming (ABB)
• Experience with ABB RobotStudio and DRS Powerpack
• Familiarity with Waterjet Cutting operations
• Knowledge/Experience in Siemens PLC is a benefit
