" Design robot programs from initial concept and integrate with peripheral equipment, such as PLC's, drives,
" Offline, online robot programming, commissioning and production support
" On-site support and maintenance
" Complete reach studies to determine best sizing of robot and best location for equipment
" Complete safety risk assessments
" Integrate, setup, and configure vision systems to perform part recognition, part position, robot guidance, and
quality inspections. Prevalent vision systems used are Fanuc 2D and 3D iR Vision, Keyence, and Cognex.
" Set up Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet networks for communication to PLC, level 2 IPCs, field devices, etc.
" Work collaboratively with the mechanical engineering team to determine best end of arm tool
" Communicate with customers in troubleshooting remotely and onsite.
" Strong organizational skills, tracking digital files and a neat physical work space
" Other roles and tasks as business requires
" Up to 25% travel is required, overtime on an as-needed basis, occasional weekends and holidays
" 3 years of experience with robot integration
" Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD a plus
" Willing to travel (up to 25%)
" A plus: paint, dispense application; material handling; weld applications
" Experience with automation controls engineering a plus
