We are looking for a Quality Technician to take a hands-on role in supporting quality assurance efforts for a leading manufacturer. This includes overseeing certifications and audits, conducting final and receiving inspections, and managing equipment calibration. The role will also involve guiding the quality team to ensure consistent compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products.
Oversee sampling techniques and help design documentation used during quality checks.
Support the creation and delivery of internal training related to quality processes and best practices.
Provide expertise in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
Maintain detailed records including charts, graphs, and reports related to product quality and defect trends.
Collaborate with the Engineering team to establish and document inspection and testing procedures.
Act as a liaison between the company and external customers or quality representatives.
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and refining manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required;additional education or training is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with production teams.
Solid understanding of GD&T principles.
Experience operating and programming CMMs (especially with PC-DMIS software) is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
