Job Description

ITS has a client in the Toledo area seeking a Product Line Manager. This is a direct hire role with full benefits including 401k.

Detail oriented mechanical engineer with large capital equipment design experience
Has a strong desire to learn and then apply that knowledge to develop next generation glass forming technology.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with both internal and external customers.
Ability to travel to domestic and international locations.
Track record of Innovation
2-5 years management experience

Develop and design various components of glass bending and tempering systems customized to customer specifications
1. Investigate and create new designs in 3D modeling, AutoCAD Inventor preferred
Conduct validation testing at customers sites.
Direct process validation trials on new glass forming equipment and tools.
Augment equipment start up activities on new equipment or retrofits on existing equipment.
Work with all departments on cost reduction and technology improvement.
In 2 to 3 years, mange the development activities for a specific technology platform.

BS in Engineering preferred
Experience in managing projects and teams.
10 plus years experience in capital equipment or machine design
Knowledge or experience in the following is preferred
1. Glass Bending and Tempering or Annealing
2. Glass Furnaces
3. Conveying mechanisms
Knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical and/or AutoCAD Inventor
Excellent communication skills across disciplines
Ability to travel domestically or internationally of the time.
1. Could have one trip that lasts 8 weeks per year.
2. Normal travel levels are between 10 to 25% of the time.
