Job Description

ITS has a client in the Tecumseh, MI area seeking an Industrial Engineer. This is a direct hire role with full benefits including 401k and bonus. 

Responsibilities
  • Function objectives are to ensure the deployment and implementation of company culture, policies and actions, at local level
  • Ensure the local sustainability of company culture, policies and actions, through standardization of behaviours, practices and resources
  • Ensure the guidance and support to training processes, including the build –up of specialists and delegated training agents
  • Investigates any new concepts or ideas that could improve any aspect specific to manufacturing/production.
  • Facilitate training sessions to internal employees on an as needed basis 
  • Team member on various Continuous Improvement teams within the organization.
  • Any other reasonable request made by management.
  • Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment
Work Experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years'experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive stampings, welding, mechanical and modular assemblies
  • Worked with lean manufacturing systems
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate, lead and build/maintain relationships
  • Sound computer skills, e.G. MS Office
  • Ability to deal with conflict and/or resistance
  • Effective use of problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to analyze information received from a variety of sources and provide recommendations
Education
  • College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or relevant knowledge in lean systems, methods and tools (kaizen etc.)
