ITS has a client in the Toledo area seeking an HR Manager. This is a direct hire with full benefits including 401k.
Key Responsibilities
Fully understands organizational structure, jobs and job content/requirements in assigned area. Performs primary job evaluation of office jobs. Collects information, analyzes data, and determines proper job classifications. Advises/approves salary changes for employees in assigned area.
Establishes and administers programs and procedures to maintain/improve employee morale and productivity.
Provides guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to Managers, team leaders, teams, Employee Advocate, and individuals for human resource/employee relations issues. Serves as a resource for employees on relations issues, benefits questions, policy issues, etc.
Identifies, recommends, and implements solutions for personnel problems/concerns. Participates in disciplinary actions up to and including separations, performance management, and conflict resolution situations. Works with team leaders to provide advice, ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation, and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law.
Develops, communicates, and implements new programs and policies including, but not limited to, developing plans, procedures and programs to meet specific training needs of employees in area of responsibility. Develops, analyzes, coordinates, and/or conducts training for assigned areas.
Oversees production/manufacturing hiring and takes part in the selection, interviewing, and/or hiring of leadership and other key positions in assigned area.
Oversees environmental, health and safety in the division and verifies that safe work practices are followed. May perform regular workplace inspections and be involved in investigating reports or work-related injuries. Responsible for 0 recordable injuries within their department and implement disciplinary action when safety infractions are made. Assists with establishing environmental, health and safety goals and objectives. Reviews safety statistics and loss runs. Participates in management safety committee.
Performs other duties and assists other staff as needed
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor' s degree in Human Resources Management or related field; or equivalent. Master' s degree and/or other HR certification(s) desirable (i.E. SHRM, CCP, CCB, etc.).
Six years diverse professional and managerial experience including financial/budget responsibility, management leadership, and strategic decision making/leadership; or equivalent.
Proficient with application software.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with internal and external contacts when performing job duties.
Demonstrated ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity.
Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of multi-shift operations (i.E. Working evening hours to cover employee needs on various shifts).
