The purpose of the Field Service Technician is to provide the best customer experience by performing service, (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on equipment, at external locations or company shop locations in line with Manager's instructions. The Field Service Technician is responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships as well as following Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities. Together we keep everyday life moving by unlocking the full potential of load handling in our customers'businesses.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Manage the customer and respond to Customer in a way that maximizes customer satisfaction
Follow Company Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
Manage and follow the Service process
Inspect, troubleshoot, report, plan and then conduct service or repair with company quality
Submit regular reports according to company procedures
Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards
Plan and manage personal time and resources for maximum benefit of company and the customer
Make judgements about the most cost effective and efficient approach to providing service
Maintain documentation to ensure accurate invoicing to the customer, in real time
Manage and protect the security and traceability of spare parts
Identify new business opportunities
Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
Provide feedback to District Service Manager to support continuous quality improvement
Participate in innovative thinking about ways to improve service efficiency
Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the company brand and follow rules of the Quality System
And other duties, as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed:
Service mindset
Technical and product knowledge
Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and following technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager applicable to equipment
Staying up to date with technical specifications of relevant equipment
Commercial Awareness and Cost Efficient way of working
Continuous Improvement mindset
Driving license (CDL-class B or higher for field service technician may be required)
Minimum high school education/GED;Technical or Secondary College Preferred
3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical operations
Own tools required
Ability to obtain a 1 year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
