ITS is lookin for an experienced Production Manager for rapidly growing manufacturer. This Manager would oversee the production control department, managing pre-production planning and mass production. Ensures efficient processes for delivery, cost control, quality, and operations across North America. Collaborates with suppliers, sales, quality, engineering, and plant operations to meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead production strategies, optimizing workflows and resolving challenges to improve efficiency.
Set departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Analyze production KPIs, drive process improvements, and support program launches.
Develop and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Prepare executive reports on profitability, project status, and supplier alignment.
Enhance production flow, reduce waste, and improve lead times through process optimization.
Maintain production schedules, inventory management, and risk mitigation strategies.
Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to align processes with business needs.
Implement continuous improvement practices, including Lean and Obeya methodologies.
Identify and address potential risks in new programs, developing proactive solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
8+ years in program management or production control, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
Ability to analyze complex issues and drive strategic improvements.
Additional Information:
Safety: Lead by example, enforce safety protocols, and ensure PPE compliance.
Supervision: Manage team performance, hiring, and development.
Travel: 40-60% for customer, supplier, and plant visits, with occasional extended travel.
