Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Microbiology Team Lead to work in the Perrysburg, OH area. This is a direct hire position that offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Description
Responsible for USP microbiological quality control testing on various products, including FDA-regulated OTC drugs, cosmetics, and EPA-registered disinfectants. Establishes microbial monitoring limits and oversees environmental monitoring to ensure facility compliance. Prepares and maintains laboratory materials and equipment.
Requirements
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, and ISO standards.
Maintain accurate records of testing activities.
Investigate and document OOS results and deviations.
Support audits related to microbiology.
Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials and products.
Perform environmental monitoring and recommend hygiene improvements.
Execute microbial identification and preservative efficacy testing.
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Education and Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field;advanced degree preferred.
5–10 years of experience in Quality Control Microbiology.
Proficient in core microbiological techniques.
Understanding of FDA, EPA, and other regulatory guidelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for long periods.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
