Job Description

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Controls Engineer to work in the Atlanta, GA area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
  • May act as the design lead, programming lead, or owner's representative on selected projects.
  • May plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.
  • Meets regularly with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
  • Develop PLC architecture designs including Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
  • Development of contractor installation/construction packages including riser/conduit installation drawings, device location plans/elevations and specifications.
  • Develop electrical controls schematics including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematics.
  • Perform PLC/HMI Programming (mainly RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, PanelviewPlus RSView ME, Ignition, Wonderware).
  • Provide on-site electrical system construction and commissioning support including device/hardware checkout and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI programs.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
  • Travel usually varies from 20% to 40% and may include international travel to Latin America or Canada.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing required –glass, steel, or graphite industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering and six (6) or more years of related practical experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of project design, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Good computer and communication skills
  • Ability to work and communicate remotely in an independent and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability and desire to travel for field assignments is required.
