ITS has a client in the Toledo, OH area seeking a Compression Molding Engineer. This is a direct hire role with full benefits including 401k.
Specific Job Duties:
Support process and other activities consistent with departmental expectations and goals.
Overview initial machine processes, document all proposals for improved efficiencies and make adjustments as required.
Continually monitor all processes related to compression molding.
Participate in the advanced product quality planning FMEA activities for the development of the control plan for all manufactured parts by the compression molding department.
Direct all changes or modifications to the control plan resulting from continuous improvement activities as well as internal and external customer requirements.
Responsible for troubleshooting material and processing issues.
Responsible for start-up and set-up of new tools and material, and for conducting tool and material trials, including documentation.
Assist with activities and projects which encompass the integration of robotics.
Develop and implement continuous process improvements in the molding department.
Ensure that all accidents are properly reported and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours.
Perform other duties as directed.
Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree in a technical field of study required. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
Course work relating to compression molding an asset.
Related Work Experience:
Six years minimum compression molding experience preferred.
Must have experience processing thermoset composites and setting tools.
Knowledge of automation systems and controls would be an asset.
