Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an Automation Engineer to work in the Columbus, OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
May act as the design lead, programming lead, or owner's representative on selected projects.
Plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.
Meets regularly with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
Develop PLC architecture design including Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
Development of contractor installation/construction packages including riser/conduit installation drawings, device location plans/elevations and specifications.
Develop electrical controls schematics including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematics.
Provide on-site electrical system construction and commissioning support including device/hardware checkout and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI programs.
Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
Qualifications:
Engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing required –glass, steel, or graphite industry preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering and six (6) or more years of related practical experience required.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
AB PLC and HMI programming experience is desired.
Knowledge of project design, cost estimating, and scheduling.
Good computer and communication skills
Ability to work and communicate remotely in an independent and team-oriented environment.
Ability and desire to travel for field assignments is required.
