ITs has a client in the Toledo, OH area seeking a Human Resources Manager. This is a direct hire position with full benefits and 401k. 

Human Resources Manager;

Plans, administers and supervises human resources activities under the general supervision of the Plant Manager. Primary areas of responsibility include recruiting, supervision, labor relations, and employee relations.

•Recruits, interviews and hires salary and production employees

•Conducts new hire orientations

•Administers the collective agreement with the union, handles grievances and labor relations matters

•Prepares for and participates in collective bargaining

•Provides direction for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures

•Addresses employee complaints

•Administers disciplinary actions as necessary and advised operations on discipline

•Responds to unemployment claims and represents the company at related hearing

•Utilizes HRIS to compute and report HR metrics, and provides other management reports as needed

•Manage the process for STD and FMLA leave and Workers Compensation claims

•Directly supervises HR Supervisor, HR Coordinator, and HR Specialist.

Education / Experience

•Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or related field

•Minimum of three years of experience in a Unionized manufacturing environment in a human resources management role

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Human Resources Certification preferred (PHR / SHRM)
