Payroll Specialist
We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional to manage high-volume, in-house payroll processing for around high volume employees weekly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with union payroll and the construction industry is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities:
Process and review weekly payroll and layoff checks
Verify time data daily/weekly for accuracy
Set up new hires and unions in accounting software
Handle union and tax reporting, payments, and reconciliations
Balance payroll with general ledger
Respond to employee payroll inquiries
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll experience
Strong computer skills and 10-key accuracy
Solid understanding of accounting/payroll principles
Experience with unions
High school diploma required;business degree preferred
