Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to work in the Toledo, OH area. This is a direct hire position that offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Survey Crew Chief to join our team and work on diverse and challenging projects. This position is responsible for coordinating field survey operations, which includes insuring the safety of the crew, equipment, accuracy of survey data, and completion of assigned tasks. Must have experience working on a wide variety of projects, including boundary, topographic surveys and construction layout.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily field operations of a survey crew
Conduct land surveys and construction staking
Organize and maintain field crew efficiency in meeting work schedules
Accurately calculate and record field data
Oversee and direct the operations of the project
Maintain equipment and keep proper records of maintenance and repairs
Train assigned personnel in the operations of equipment and procedures
Monitoring work for compliance with plans and specifications
Preparing written reports, calculations, client interface, and related work items
Construction Staking of heavy highway, water & wastewater works, underground utility installation, and municipal infrastructure improvements
Applicant must be willing to travel throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan
Qualifications:
5+ years of industry experience, prior crew chief experience is preferred
PSIT required. PS preferred, but not required if able to obtain professional license
Proficient with multiple types of land survey field work, including Topographic/Existing Conditions, Boundary, ALTA, Construction Layout
AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble product experience desired
Strong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal)
Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude
Ability to work in all-weather climates
