Duties:
- Process and maintain accurate payroll records for employees
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries, and benefits
- Utilize financial concepts and accounting software to analyze payroll data
- Collaborate with Managers and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain employee payroll information, including deductions, taxes, and garnishments
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed
- Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Complete year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll processing systems.
- Strong analytical skills to accurately analyze and reconcile payroll data
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Knowledge of accounting principles and corporate accounting practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
- Familiarity with 10-key typing for efficient data entry
Union payroll and benefits experience a plus
