 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
  • Manage large and complex client relationships, including 401(k), Profit Sharing and Defined Benefit plans.  Candidate will be assigned a block of existing clients to manage as well as new clients ongoing
  • Serve as primary relationship manager for 401(k), Profit Sharing and Defined Benefit plans
  • Candidate must have in-depth technical knowledge to understand and implement:
    • Plan Design Consulting
    • Plan fund lineup review
    • Fiduciary oversight and education for plan sponsors
    • Participant education programs
    • ERISA and Industry Updates
  • Conduct one-on-one consultations on-site at employers, engaging participants and improving their outcomes in the areas of investment education, enrollment, savings rates, outside asset acquisition, and account level retention. 
  • Give group education presentations on a wide variety of financial and retirement education topics to a diverse group of plan participants
  • Conduct Annual Plan Reviews with key decision makers of employer sponsored retirement plans with a focus on plan trends, investment, and participant education outcomes
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key plan level decision makers including elected officials, board members, union representatives, and C-suite administrators
  • Develop new 401(k), Profit Sharing and Defined Benefit plan client relationships
  • Develop prospect recommendations and present due diligence reviews to prospects
  • Experience with multiple retirement plan vendors including record keepers, TPAs and auditors
  • Develop centers of influence, including CPAs, Attorneys and TPAs
  • Identify and refer new individual business opportunities to the appropriate adviser
  • Mentor and train associate and support advisers
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years related experience. Financial Services sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Series 65 or equivalent/IAR within six months of obtaining position
  • CRPS required, CPFA preferred
  • Significant knowledge of retirement and investment products with an emphasis on deferred compensation defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Good understanding of specific plan provisions and legislative regulations 
  • Experience with 401ks, 403b, 401a, DB plans  and IRAs
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively market and service a geographically diverse client base 
  • Strong communication, listening, interpersonal skills, and ability to follow directions necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective group presentations 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer skills, including Windows, internet, email systems, Word, Excel and Power Point • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment preferred
