Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is working with a leading manufacturer is looking to add an expeirnced Mechanical Engineer to their expanding team. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing both new products and technologies, as well as improving existing products and manufacturing processes. This role encompasses planning tasks, product and system industrialization, and providing technical support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop product designs using solid modeling and CAD software.
Create electronic drawings with CAD and modeling programs, ensuring they include appropriate dimensional drawings and GD&T.
Prepare specifications for equipment or materials.
Research and analyze data such as internal or customer design proposals, specifications, and industry standards to assess the feasibility of designs or applications with minimal supervision.
Utilize statistical methods, design of experiments, and systematic problem-solving techniques effectively.
Conduct research to test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, systems, and processes.
Investigate equipment failures and operational issues to diagnose problems and provide recommendations.
Specify system components or direct product modifications to ensure they meet engineering design and performance specifications.
Maintain proper documentation according to general manufacturing standards, customer specifications, and company policies.
Read and interpret customer and industry specifications.
Develop documents that drive the manufacturing process, such as drawings, models, and assemblies.
Support all company facilities with design, analysis, and testing for both existing product lines and the development of new derivative products.
Take on a technical lead role in the mechanical design of multiple projects and participate in the entire product design and validation process.
Design and develop manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
3-5 years of prior experience in a related field, industry, or work environment is required.
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, or similar programs.
